Website Health Check

Is your website costing you bookings?

Free website health check for tour operators

Find out in a couple of minutes what's working, what isn't, and what to fix first.

Built for tour operators, coach and transport companies, accommodation and attractions, wherever you're based.

Takes about two minutes. Your score and what to fix first show up on this page straight away, and your full report lands in your inbox a minute or two later.

How it works

  1. Tell me about your business

Your website, how people book, and the searches you'd love to be found for.

  2. Get your score

The check reads your homepage and up to a dozen of your other pages, then gives you a score out of 100 and your top three fixes.

  3. I give you a call

I go through your site myself, check where you really stand on Google, and talk you through it. No pressure, and no hard sell.

What gets checked

Can Google read your site?

Whether Google, Bing and AI tools like ChatGPT can read your site properly, and whether anything is quietly hiding pages, like duplicate pages, broken links or settings that tell Google to stay away.

The searches that matter to you

Whether your pages are set up for the searches you want to be found for. I then check where you really stand on Google myself, and who's showing up instead.

Can they book you direct?

A clear way to book or get a quote, a Book button that's easy to find, and whether you're sending people off to an OTA that takes a cut.

Do you look trustworthy?

Reviews, security, cancellation terms, and the small things that make people comfortable handing over their money.

Does it work on phones?

Most people check you out on their phone first. If it's slow or fiddly there, you lose them.

Your Google & listings

Your Google Business Profile, plus TripAdvisor and ATDW if you run a tour in Australia.

A website can look great and still leak bookings. If people can't find you, can't work out how to book, or get sent off to an OTA, those bookings go to someone else, or come back to you minus a commission.

Who's behind it

I'm Dave Edwards. I've worked in Australian touring since 2009, started my own private touring business, Escape Scenes, in 2019, and I still drive tours. I've also been building websites for 18 years.

I built this check because I kept seeing the same problems on operators' websites: good tours, hard to find, harder to book. It's just me, based in Sydney. No call centre, no overseas team, and your details are never sold, shared or published.

Questions people ask

Is it really free?

Yes. There's no catch and no card needed. You can run one check per website every 30 days.

Does it tell me where I rank on Google?

Not on its own. The automated check looks at whether Google can read and trust your site, and whether your pages are set up for the searches you name. Rankings change by location and by person, so I check those by hand before I call you.

What happens to my details?

They're stored securely in Australia and used for your report and my follow-up call. I never sell, share or publish them. The full detail is in my privacy policy.

Will you keep chasing me?

No. I'll call once to talk through your results. If you'd rather I didn't call again, just say so.

Does it work if I'm not in Australia?

Yes. It works for operators anywhere. The ATDW questions only show up for Australian businesses, because ATDW is an Australian listing service.

Is this the same as a full audit?

No. The health check is an automated starting point that reads public information. My digital audit for tour operators is a hands-on review where I dig into your site, your Google profile, your listings and your booking path in much more detail.

Why is it free?

I'm a consultant, and I'd love to work with you. But the report is yours to keep either way, whether we end up working together or not.
